Independent study day

Today, I was tasked with making two small sculptures of my characters, and then answering a multitude of questions about one of them. They also told me to research about 4 different contextual references? I seriously don’t know what that means, and I tried looking on pallet but I’m still so confused… I have to ask the teachers what that means. Anyways, Iw as really stupid and I wasn’t keeping track of time. I was sculpting too hard, and AAA was falling apart as I worked on her. In fact, I think I spent more time repairing her than building upon her. The end result was not at all how I imagined her to be, but it looked kinda cooler, so I wasn’t all that upset about it. If I’ve learned anything, its to get the general shape down as a blood, and maybe don’t use a center reinforcement with flares at the end. Clay shrinks as it dries, so their inability to move is probably what split the body in half. I also need to invest in some staples to make sure that fallen limbs stay together. AAA didn’t turn out perfect, but i was still proud. At this point, it was 12:30 AM, so i had to move quickly because I hadn’t made anything else yet. Koibird… was rather unfortunate. I had put very little effort into him because I was just rushing to get everything done so I could sleep. he was very hastily put together and I blatantly ignored some problem areas such as his falling tripod legs and his gasoil that inevitably snapped. After I finished sculpting, I answered the multitude of questions complete with some visual references. The character that I chose to expand on was Koibird, because i felt bad for its misshaped statue. By the time I finished, it was 3 am, so I hastily went to bed after. I should work on time management more.
